Trip Expenses
A typical 10 day surgical mission trip to a Central American country costs between $30,000 and $50,000 for transportation, food and lodging.
Most of our professional volunteers take time off from work to participate in a medical mission. Each traveler is responsible for their own own airfare, immunizations, travel to and from the airports, etc.
An average trip costs each individual approximately $1000. Although the desire, the knowledge, and the skill to go on a mission are foremost, the cost for some is prohibitive. Contributions towards the whole team are gratefully accepted, or you may make a donation to offset the expenses of an individual volunteer. Frequent flyer miles are accepted.
Donations of this sort can be the deciding factor for talented healthcare professionals to join us!
